秦嶺Ⅲ號特長隧道是陜西省“米”字型公路網骨架戶縣澇峪口至簡車灣段高速公路的咽喉工程,也是我國國道主干線(GZ40)二連浩特至河口穿越陜西境內最艱巨的工程地段。秦嶺Ⅲ號特長隧道位于陜西省寧陜縣江口鎮境內,距江口鎮27km,其中18km為既有泥結碎石路面拓寬,新建便道(業主已經引入)9km。該工程跨越我國南北分界的秦嶺山脈,這里地形崎嶇,地勢險要,山高溝深,人煙稀少,植被茂密,地質構造復雜,工程施工難度大。
秦嶺Ⅲ號特長隧道為上、下行分離式隧道,其中上行線單洞長4683米,下行線單洞長4930米。我公司承擔施工的下行線出口K71+730~K74+500,共2770米。下行線秦嶺II號隧道進口和秦嶺Ⅲ號出口位于付加河兩岸,山高谷深。II號隧道進口位于付加河左岸,地形稍緩,我公司施工的秦嶺Ⅲ號出口位于付加河右岸約60米高的陡坡上,給施工準備帶來一定的困難。隧道右側為一小山谷,溝內常年流水,水質清澈透明,前期籌備人員已飲用。施工期間由項目經理部在適當高度選址筑壩引作施工及生活用水。
